Object link for non standrd objects problems
Hi All,
I am stuck with non standard object links, please find below the details and please provide your inputs on this.
1. New object links for objects - MSEG, PA0000, PA0002,,,,etc.
2. I have maintained key fields with Tcodes and fields.
3. I have maintained the screen for object links.
4. Updated the screens in SAPCV130 for all new non standard objects.
5. In doc type configuration - set OBJECT CHECK for status DF, there is only one status. - Business requirement.
7. All the master data for the objects like MSEG, PA0000 exists in the system, I can see in database table.
8. ZSEARCHHELP_ObjectsXXXX has been set up for all non standard object for search.
Now after all these activities I am facing two issues,
1. After I select the object from search screen, If I press enter its asking me "do you want to delete the object links", irrespective of yes/no object will be deleted from the object link screen.
2. This is another scenario - Its giving message "DF status cannot be set as the object doesn't exist", but when I check in SE16N object exists in the database then why its showing object doesn't exists and not allowing me to save.
Please provide your valuable inputs on how I can fix this.

how to store the document on DMS Server

Currently all my documents uploaded are stored in R3 system with the t-code cv01n and now I want that documents to be store in DMS Server.

Document type '' not defined Message no. 26168
Hello people!
The above mentioned error occurs when I am trying to display an attachment in CV03N.
The steps I am following are -
And I am not able to view any attachment by following these steps. The type of attachment mentioned in the above screenshot is of type BUD. But the error stays for all the document types. I am not getting what is this " Document type.
Need help to remove this error and resolve the problem.

SAP DIR shortcut and logon issues SSO
Hi experts,
I have following intended scenario:
- Create Document-Info-Record-Shortcut via CV03n and save to desktop (we do not run EasyDMS).
- Enhance shortcut with following properties:
- Transaction: CV03N DRAW-DOKNR= 10000000000001048;DRAW-DOKAR=ASI;DRAW-DOKTL=001;DRAW-DOKVR=01
- System: P15 SSO (SSO=Single Sign On)
- Client: 001
- User: *
- Password:
- Employees click on shortcut
- DIR should be displayed
In fact it works like this (check attached pictures):
1. Click on shortcut
2. SAP popup appears stating that system "P15 SSO" can not be found in list. Confirm popup
3. SAP shorcut properties appears stating in field System "P15" (I assume it should be "P15 SSO"). Confirm popup.
4. A SAP-Logon-Pad appears including ERP-Logon screen with my credentials. Select client
5. DIR is displayed.
6. If you now open shortcut properties from desktop you can see that the field "System Description" contains "P15" and not the values entered in step
2.b.
I suppose that the root cause deals with SAP-Logon-Pad, saplogon.ini file, Single-Sign-On,… but no idea how to make it run smooth.
Any idea?

Store document uploaded in MIRO (Service for Object) in DMS
Dear All,
We have a business requirement to store documents in Vendor invoices/ Purchase Orders etc.. We have the standard option of creating attachment in Service for Object & view the same there. But not to increase the load on our SAP server we want the documents uploaded to be saved in DMS. We do not want to use CV01N etc. We want user to attach the documents in transaction itself & should also be able to view in the transaction itself. Please guide us how to activate the same functionality.
Though there are some discussions in the forum on this but its not very clear to me.

Issue while opening a GIF file using CV03N in WINDOWS 7
Hi All,
I got struck with the below issue. Could you guys please help on this?
When we try to open a GIF file attached to a document using CV03N transaction in WINDOWS 7 an error pop up is displayed like 'This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or , if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel'.
But when we try to open a GIF file with the same configuration in WINDOWS 8, we are able to view a pop up with which it is to be displayed.
Note: we are able to open other file types like (DOC,DOCX,PPT,PPTX,PDF,TXT,ZIP,JPEG,PNG,XLS,XLSX,CSV,MSG) in both WINDOWS 7 and WINDOWS 8 with the same configuration.

Error while attaching Document in Store Business Document
Hi Experts,
We have configured Archive link property in services for object using OAC0,OAC2
and OAC3 transaction ME51n,ME52n & ME53n.
AS its construction Industry,There are many remote construction sites of company.
Document attachment functionality is working properly in Near by location. However same thing
does not work in remote location( Sites with low connectivity ).
It is ending up with the message "RFC desintation SAPHTTP inaccessible: Timeout during allocate".
Can we increase the allocate time while attaching ? If we can, kindly tel me the procedure.
Or is there any other solution ?

We are sending a lot of files there and want to compress them.
The problem is, that we exceed the max mail-size.

Data migration from 2 SAP systems after acquisition
A company has recently been acquired from one of the big oil players, both companies already use SAP as its ERP system and the requirement is to migrate master data from the Acquired company and integrate in the new SAP system
The requirements are to migrate master data e.g Materials master, customers, BOMs, recipe, sale price, vendor master
How should one go about this task, I guess some element of data extraction from the Legacy SAP system has to be performed and tools like LSMW have to be used to upload the data into the target system, then of course data validation, acceptance testing and what not
A few helpful pointers will be well appreciated and i hope i posted this question in the correct forum

Viewing tif images thru the SAP GUI viewer
I think I have read every note on how to use dc20 and dc30 to configure the system to view tif images listed using CV03N in the SAP viewer instead of the Windows Picture/Fax Viewer . ANy help getting this corrected will be appreciated ..

Inforecord - PR item linkage in case of copy
Hi all gurus,
I implemented a DMS integration on several SAP backends (mostly ECC6, but also some 470 too).
Basically, users can create a specific inforecord type in CV01N transaction and attach a file,that can lately be bound to a Purchase Request item by means of the standard "Documents.." button available in ME5xN transactions.
Now, the problem occours when an user opens the ME51N enjoy transaction in order to create a new Purchase Request by copying an existing one which has attachments.
I've seen different behaviours:
- on some backends, documents attached to the "source" PR are not copied into the "target" one;
- on some others, documents attached to the "source" PR are copied into the "target" PR;
- lately, on few backends, documents attached to the "source" PR are APPARENTLY copied into the "target" PR: apparently because when the user saves the PR, the copied links disappear.
How can we modify such behaviour? Customer's desired behaviour is that any PR obtained by copy does NOT consider original's attached inforecords, so that the user has to start from scratch if he wants to link inforecords to the requisition.

How can I avoid deleting original files from EasyDms?
I have created an authorization object to control the deletion of .documents. I use the IF_EX_DOCUMENT_MAIN01~BEFORE_DELETE BADI.
When i delete a document from EasyDms, it verifies the authorization object, and if you don't have the authorization, it shows up a message, but the document disappears from the directory (BOM Document), The document is not deleted because I use an exception to cancel the deletion, but the file is not listed in the directory any more.
How can I avoid deleting the file from the directory? Can I use an exception to Cancel the process and How can I use it?

Object Link CV04N F4 data disappears
Dear All,
I was in middle of testing when I came up with this weird issue.
In CV04N, I selected a particular DT where in the object linked is WBS Element
So when I try to enter the WBS element in the line and press Enter, the data disappears.
I am not sure what is causing this.Please guide on the same.

Error when open DMS document
Dear DMS experts,
After migration DMS server from one server to another an error has occurred in transaction CV03N when try open original document I got next error massage: File C:\temp\file_name cannot be created (Message no. 26172).
This happens when I try to open the documents that have already been previously saved, the documents are saved now - open normally.
In tr. SLG1 I see the following errors:

My Storage Categories: ZDMS_C1_ST
In SM59 SAPFTPA is working, but SAPHTTP don’t work. After change program SAPHTTP on a SAPGUI front-end, SAPHTTP is working.
I try ping my DMS – ok
In tr. CSADMIN I checked connection - all good.
Status: Running
Try test «nipping» on both servers all fine.
Tried to change the version of SAPGUI - did not help.
My system parameters DMS server:
OS: Windows Server 2012
DB: MAXDB Database Studio
I can not understand what the problem is because already migrate the server and it was all good
