I have successfully install and link the content server with sap r3.
Now how i link any document like pdf ,file etc to the content server.
and how retrieve that document from content server.

Mass Download of DMS Document attachments
Hello,
I have requested a download of all PDF,Word and excel attachments from all DRW type documents on our SAP Server for DMS.
Anyone got any clues if this is possible and if so, how? (Preferably without the requirement for 3rd party software).

EasyDMS 7.1.0.0 with Windows 10 - issue with File name
Hi everyone,
We are on EasyDMS 7.1.0.0 with Windows 10.
We are facing an issue with this EasyDMS Drag Drop or Copy Paste functionality to private folders.
Issue:
When we add a file using Drag drop or Copy Paste to folder the File name is truncated to 1 char even the extension is gone.
If we use Create file option in Easy DMS explorer view it works just fine. Also when using CV01N, it works fine
Any pointers?

Eu preciso anexar um documento DMS a ordem de manutenção (PM). Personalização de tarefas ter sido feito nesse sentido "Appendix_to_SAP_Note_1821916 configuração DMS Order". Então eu posso anexar o documento DMS através de transações CV01N / CV02N, mas ainda não é capaz de anexar o mesmo documento DMS diretamente na ordem por meio de transações IW31 / IW32.
Por favor, poderia Suporte SAP me ajudar com a guia de instalação, eu preciso executar este processo como screenshots anexados.

Multi Level Document approval using workflow in SAP DMS
Hello Dear Experts.
I would like to create document using cv01n.
After attached document an e-mail goes to release owners. There are 2 option should be appeared 'Release' Button & 'Reject' Button into email body.
It should be released by departmental or positional head through mail just clicking on any of this options who can release or reject the document.
If not release or reject then it will go for previous stage.
After released, it will goes to companies CXO level owners (5-6 CXO participant is there) through e-mail for approval. There are 2 options should be appeared 'Approve' button & 'Reject' button into their e-mail body.
If more than 50% approver (including CEO) are approved this document (Approved>Rejected), this document status is approved otherwise auto rejected.
If Approved by CXO then it will wait for final approval.
One of the authorized person recieve an email for approve this document finally. There are one button appear 'Approve' button into the email body. Final approver just click on the 'Approve' button and approved this document finally.

Error when open DMS document
Dear DMS experts,
After migration DMS server from one server to another an error has occurred in transaction CV03N when try open original document I got next error massage: File C:\temp\file_name cannot be created (Message no. 26172).
This happens when I try to open the documents that have already been previously saved, the documents are saved now - open normally.
In tr. SLG1 I see the following errors:

My Storage Categories: ZDMS_C1_ST
In SM59 SAPFTPA is working, but SAPHTTP don’t work. After change program SAPHTTP on a SAPGUI front-end, SAPHTTP is working.
I try ping my DMS – ok
In tr. CSADMIN I checked connection - all good.
Status: Running
Try test «nipping» on both servers all fine.
Tried to change the version of SAPGUI - did not help.
My system parameters DMS server:
OS: Windows Server 2012
DB: MAXDB Database Studio
I can not understand what the problem is because already migrate the server and it was all good

Open PDF File in Acrobat Reader rather than SAP Document Viewer.
Hello Experts,
Whenever we attach a pdf file using Services for objects-->Store Business documents, an attachment list list is created and the file is archived in the repository.
If we double click on it, the pdf is opened in SAP Document viewer and not in Acrobat Reader unlike word document....
Can anyone tell me what configuration changes should be made and where so as to open pdf file in Acrobat?

Is it possible to load, create new version and check in originals in mass through CADDESKTOP
Hi All Experts,
There are around 700 drawings including part and assembly drawings in SAP, which are required to create new version and process originals in Mass through CDESK.
We have pro-E integration in place and we can create only one part or assembly at a time. And it is time consuming task for all 700 drawings.
We have tried with some program and successfully uploaded but when we open through cad desktop we noticed that folder icon and drawing was not linked with part ie DIR structure not maintained and CAD indicator is also missed out.
Please suggest,
1) How to load all 700 drawings by down loading in mass
2) Submitting all originals by creating new version.
3) Mass check-in
If it is not possible through CDESK. Please provide any alternative solution.

What is the "check-in" purpose?
Hi DMS Guru,
May I ask what "the check in" does in DMS?
My understanding is without check-in Original, i.e. the lock is open, if the original file is changed, the file attached in the document here is also changed.

Serial No in CV04N
Hi Experts,
I have the following queries
1) Can we bring serial no into CV04N Tcode.
2) Can we delete a document in DMS
3) While searching a document type in CV04N,all documents are not getting displayed.Is it due to excess of documents(there are nearly 2500 documents of this type present in our system)

But upon saving, I am asked to check in.

Is there any Authorization Group to have control over storage categories..
We have a scenario where 3 different group companies documents are stored in one Content server,
So we created 3 storage categories...A,B,C
A user from A company should not be allowed to 'Check In' originals into B or C,,..
Any Authorizations???

I am trying to configure FTP file server as a storage for SAP DMS
I followed

Maintain Global Settings
I have maintained FTP user and password for VAULT
Defined Data carrier type VA
Define data carrier type "server, front end" as PC Description :Windows NT Path C:\TMP\
Identify frontend computers as Default, PC
Define mount points / logical drive:data carrier default Type:PC Prefix for accesspath:D:\ADS
When I Check in to VAULT I am getting this error
Report RSFTP0002 I could able to transfere file from my desktop to VAULT.
Kindly check and advice am I passing the correct entries in defining data carriers
