Location of the upload files.
hi SAP Expert,
currently i just finished installed my SAP Easy DMS to my laptop and connect to my IDES EHP4 Server, i haven't install any content server, but i managed to upload my doc file to the SAP Easy DMS.
my question is where can i find the physical file that i upload via Easy DMS to IDES Server? i RDC to the server and using search function but can't find the doc that i upload, thanks.

Storing SD invoices in SAP DMS
Dear Experts,
I have a requirement to store the outgoing invoices generated by the Sales department directly into SAP DMS. The below link (discussion) explains the same req for Documentum.

We need to use the same configuration for DMS (Content server) also?. If this is the case, how to find the stored invoices or original files at a later point of time (assume search like in CV04N), because here we are not giving any DIR info or meta datas. Here only direct print & archive happening. Please help regarding this.

cannot find 'FTP storage system' as an option in Storage Type DMS

according to this Location of the upload files. there is an option 'FTP storage system' in storage type DMS (Tcode : OAC0)
but i can't find it in my server..

Creating link in OpenText
Hello,
We have migrated all PDFs to OpenText from legacy system. Now we need to link pdfs with SAP Document Info Records (DIRs). Could you please let me know how to link the documents (PDFs) with DIR? Need to create a linkage between OpenText PDFs and DIRs in SAP.

Unable to checkin Original in PLM Web UI
Hello Gurus,
I am unable to checkin the originals PLM Web UI and also a duplicate content version gets created. Please see the attached screen shot.
The below message stays for few seconds and then disappears automatically
I checked the content version setting but none of them are activated.
What am I missing here? Kindly advice
When I try to save the DIR I also get "Certificate does not exist" as well.

Saving documents from SAP to DMS Server directly
Hi Gurus,
Client wants that when SAP documents are created, they should be directly saved in DMS. Client does not want the additional step of attaching the original files to DIR. (i.e client does not want to upload files from desktop to DMS separately)
Please help me out as it is very urgent.

SAP EASY DMS- FOLDERS MISSING FROM THE STRUCTURE WHEN ACCESSED BY USERS
Hi,
I have one question in Easy DMS may be kind of basic one. I have not worked on Easy DMS and hence this question. I have worked on SAP DMS but something like this is new.
1. In one of the implementation project in Middle East here, The solution team has implemented Easy DMS long back. But users are facing a problem something like they cannot see the folder which was designed during solution team in the production environment. If that is tested in Quality, there is a big structure of folders, folders within folders again folders then documents etc. It has a big document structure actually. Why users not able to see this folder structure when they log into Easy DMS ? I noticied their is Authorisation group when I open any document folder or document in SAP GUI screen along with one classificaion attribute. Mandatory field is only Classification attribute. what could be the problem for this behaviour ?
2. Is it possible to pull out the complete document structure arranged in Easy DMS strucuture for backup from the system ? If yes, How to do it ? Is there any standard BAPI's or need to use development ?

Printing originals from CV02N
Hi everyone,
I have an issue printing attached documents directly from CV02N when clicking button "Print".
Originals are stored in SAP database. I have no problem viewing them.
When clicking tbutton "Print" the message occurs
--> Message no. FES034
--> 62.858 bytes transferred
The message has a green mark but nothing happens.
Anyone has an idea how to overcome the issue?

Templates in SAP Folder Management Transport??
Hi all,
I've got a problem with templates in records management.
I created a Template in MS Word, the service providers and all stuff. In Development system it works fine, but not in test system.
I transported everything, but the Template itself is not transported.
In the customizing ("Manage document Templates") the guid of the document is referenced. So I think the document itself has to be transported?
Any help on tansporting document templates?
also I tried to transport it within a case model (instance node), but without success. The Node is transported, but not the referenced document....

DMS_KPRO_DLEETE
Hi Experts,
I executed the report DMS_KPRO_DELETE by mistake in production.
This has deleted the originals for the document.
Is there any way we can retrieve the the originals back ?

Document + Char Value in a Table
Hello Experts,
I would like to pull out a flat file from the ERP which should show me the DIR numbers along with the char values and class associated with it ( Which I can see in additional data) , As you all know DRAW table will not provide the classification values. I would appriciate if some one can help me with the simplest possible options to get this data in the form of excel sheet.

Cache Server is not working!
Hi!
We're using SAP Content-Server on our company on Location A and now we installed the SAP Cache Server on Location B. We are working with Case Management and KPro documents. After we completed the Content- and Cache Server customizing, I have done some tests and realized, that the Cache Server is not working correctly - it only works for .TXT files - and I dont know why!
After debugging some code, we detected, that SAP is using different methods for calling .TXT-file, Office-documents, PDF-files and so on... and we think the problem is the location-parameter, which is only returned correctly (location=B for users on location B) when opening a .TXT-file. (Of course we are working with locations - transaction SCMSHO - and with the userparameter "LCA" for the users on location B). But this is only speculation...
Summary:
- we customized the Cache Server in transaction OALO (KPro-locations), SCMSHO (locations of the servers), SCMSCA (caches) and of course CSADMIN
- Content-Server on location A, Cache-Server on location B
- users on location B have the user-parameter "LCA" = B
- Cache-Server works perfect only for .txt-files but not for office-files, pdf-files and so on!
Does anybody know this issue?
