Hi everyone,
I have an issue printing attached documents directly from CV02N when clicking button "Print".
Originals are stored in SAP database. I have no problem viewing them.
When clicking tbutton "Print" the message occurs
--> Message no. FES034
--> 62.858 bytes transferred
The message has a green mark but nothing happens.
Anyone has an idea how to overcome the issue?
Today we are using DMS documents setted KPRO and keeping attachements at DMS_C1_ST proposed by standard SAP.
Now, we need change documents repository to Content Server HTTP, until now it´s OK. The doubt is, how migrate the old files, that had already been loaded in DMS_C1_ST, to the new Content Server ??? And after this, when we display a document in CV03N we´ll see the attachments ok in the new repository ???
There is a way to do this ??? If someone knows, please let me know.

Hi Gurus,
Client wants that when SAP documents are created, they should be directly saved in DMS. Client does not want the additional step of attaching the original files to DIR. (i.e client does not want to upload files from desktop to DMS separately)
Please help me out as it is very urgent.

I would like to pull out a flat file from the ERP which should show me the DIR numbers along with the char values and class associated with it ( Which I can see in additional data) , As you all know DRAW table will not provide the classification values. I would appriciate if some one can help me with the simplest possible options to get this data in the form of excel sheet.

I have uploaded a file from the local desktop via CV01N.
The same file has been attached to a PO from ME22N.
Now, when the PO is opened from another location, the file is inaccessible.
I have defined a data carrier DMS and selected that at the time of attaching the document.
Still it is not accessible.

Dear Gurus,
I am trying to integrate SAP Easy Document with DMS. I am able to chekc-in the file with Tcode CV01n in to storage category whcih I have created. But when I try to check-in the file through SAP Easy Document, system will give the error as " Error while check in storing".
I think SAP easy document is taking some other storage catogory by dafult. How can I default the storage catogory which I have created.

But am not able to view the DMS Tab in Iw32/Iw33.
I have also implemented the SAP Note 1673999.

I have two different scenarios.
1.I need to attach the documents line items wise to PO and PR..is it possible to attach the document thro SAP Archive link for line items??
2.I need to attach the documents for FI Invoice and i need to use standard document numbering facility and also with version for the invoices.
Is there any possibility to link the SAP DMS to SAP Archivelink,so that i will use SAP DMS for Numbering and link it to the SAP Archivelink???
Please help me as this is the most critical issue am facing.

I'm just trying to clarify how to go about tidying up our SOFFCONT1 and BDS_CONT1 tables by migrating documents from the database to a Content Server.
Apparently Content Server is set up (via OAC0) and 'new' documents/attachments are successfully being stored in Content Server rather than the database.
But historically this was not so, and we have a huge amount of documents stored at DB level.
I've read note "1634908 - Reduce the size of table SOFFCONT1" and "389366 - Relocation of documents" and plan to use report RSIRPIRL to do this.
It looks like PHIO class SOFFPHIO should be used for the SOFFCONT1 entries and "All classes which start with BDS_P" for the BDS side; but you can't enter BDS_P* in the report and I can't find a list of PHIO classes anywhere - anyone have any ideas?
Also, I've been told that dependant on the type of document, they should go to a different repository - for example, billing documents should go to a different repository. Is this possible? There's the 'Document Area' selection but I don't think you can specify this here?
Some notes/posts about this process also mention transaction SKPR08 - how does this fit in here? The application consultant who has set up Content Server hadn't come across it and didn't have access to run it either - is it relevant in this case?
Is there any way of knowing how many documents there are (and their size) to be migrated? I can count the number of rows returned by RSIRPIRL in test mode but this gives me no idea of size. As there's a huge volume (the tables are about 200GB each) we need to ensure there is sufficient space in the Repository.
Please bear in mind that I have a SAP Basis background rather than a Functional one so I'm struggling to understand this process fully and what all the different document types and classes etc mean.

Is there any standard object Link to Contracts(RFQ),Service master and FI Invoices.
I have the below mentioned Scenarios.
1.when i Attach the Document in PR Thro DMS ,that document has to get reflected in RFQ as well as in the Contract If i create contract w.r.t PR.
2.In FI ,I want to attach the parked Invoice with Version control and also for each line item.
Please help if anybody can help to solve this issue.

Hi all,
I installed a new KPro 6.50 on Windows 2012 R2 server with IIS 8.5.
The Installation didn't show any error but when I test with http://localhost:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo I get a message to download or open a file. When I download the server downloads the ContentServer.dll
I don't have any idea what can be worng.

I am facing an issue while attaching lengthy links in T-code CV01N, i have a links whose character size is 175 characters but with current settings, system only allows links with character length 132, the remaining part of the link is eliminated when i attach the same link via CV01N.
I have also checked the allowed character length for Field FILEP1, it is 255.
Kindly suggest how to resolve this issue, so that lengthy links upto 170 characters can also be attached.

And if if we open it, system will automatically download the selected document into my computer.
may i know how can i download all the documents in batch without openning it?

I'm trying to bulk upload DMS documents and create info records in a way that is described in SAP note 817743.
I'm facing two problems in process:
1. when I make an sequential sample file with report DMS_LOAD01, I can see there is control record ID 'EDI_DC40' in the first line. The system is Unicode system (according to my guy from Basics) so when I'm trying to import that sample file i'm getting error message: "Control record ID 'EDI_DC40_U' is expected in Unicode system". How do I get 'EDI_DC40_U' in sample file generated by that report?
2. when I change manually that control record ID into 'EDI_DC40_U', i'm getting following error message:
"The file contains an IDoc of the wrong type DOCUMENT_LOAD01
Diagnosis
An IDoc of type DOCUMENT_LOAD01 has been found in the file. However, no there is no ALE/IDoc interface for this IDoc type (Transaction BDBG)"
When I check that transaction, I can see that DOCUMENT_LOAD01 is defined in the system by default.
Attached is the sample file I'm trying to import.

I was hoping you all could advise on the best way to maintain the original document description master data in mass. Is there a table that can be maintained? or t-code for mass changes? or?
I have multiple thousands of documents that need to have the "main original description" changed.
